Running is mostly a city thing for us. We live in the city, go out to have a short run in an urban landscape, long run beside the river, run the skyline. Asphalt, concrete, gravel in parcs, cobblestones. These are the usual surfaces we run on. But on the weekends, we go out of the city and into the woods, travel to the mountains, run & climb the summits (mostly) of the surrounding Taunus area. Not comparable to real mountains, but it's what we got and that's what we gonna do. Get up there, not only for the views. That's what we really run for. At least sometimes.
The Runners Highest "city to summit" series is a 2-part video series. The first part features the New Balance x Fresh Foam Hierro v7, a very complete trail allrounder. Vibram outsole for grip, a Fresh Foam midsole for cushion and an improved upper for lighter weight and stability. The Hierro v7 is made for a variety of undergrounds and ready for both the wet woods and the rocky single trails. For those interested: they're available now.
Thanks to Sebastian Heindorff for the amazing pictures and video.
